Human skin requires constant care, because its cells die and must be removed from the surface, as well as to maintain a healthy appearance and rejuvenate the skin. Using cosmetic paraffin, you can carry out effective procedures at home, but for this you need a bath for paraffin therapy - a very convenient electrical product.

The package includes gloves, brushes, sometimes paraffin of various aromatization. In a compact and rather convenient container, paraffin is first melted, and then hands or feet are immersed in it. If you want to know all the technical parameters and rules for choosing such a device, then you should definitely read this article.

Benefit

In short, paraffin therapy has such positive qualities:

  • makes the skin silky and smooth, so it looks younger;
  • relieves peeling and redness;
  • improves natural blood flow and lymph outflow;
  • maximizes pores for removing toxins and toxins from the body;
  • saturates the skin with vitamins found in cosmetic paraffin.

Specialists advise doing paraffin baths for hands every week, and every woman will see a positive result after the first procedure: the skin becomes more elastic, smooth, even fine wrinkles are smoothed out.

Types of baths

Such products for paraffin are available in 2 types - for arms and legs, they differ only in depth. The first option has a shallow bowl so that the hands, and sometimes the wrists, can completely dip in it. The second type of bath has a bowl size much larger - some are designed for legs up to size 41, respectively, they are much deeper so that the lower leg can also enter.

Attention! After each use, paraffin must be discarded - its secondary use is not recommended, because the substance absorbs toxins and minute impurities, as well as outdated skin cells.

If you melt the already used paraffin, there is a real danger that all the negative components can fall onto your skin again and lead to a negative effect throughout the procedure.

Operating principle

The paraffin bath works very simply:

  1. Inside, lay so much paraffin so that when lowering its hands, its excess does not splash out, for example, if the maximum volume is 3 kg, then we melt no more than 2.5 kg.
  2. The maximum temperature mode is turned on and after 1.5-2 hours all the paraffin turns into a liquid substance, the melting rate depends on the power of the product.
  3. Inside the container is coated with aluminum or non-stick composition so that paraffin does not stick to the inner surface.
  4. Then the second mode is turned on - maintaining the optimum temperature and after a while, when the substance cools down to +58 ° C, you can start the procedure.
  5. Dipping is performed in stages until a thick layer of solidified paraffin forms on the skin.
  6. After the device is turned off and completely cooled, the remaining paraffin is removed and the bowl is washed with warm water.

In the foot baths, a stand is provided that excludes contact of the feet with the inner surface so that there is no burn - molten paraffin does not burn the skin, since a thin film forms immediately upon contact.

For such procedures, only special cosmetic paraffin is used, with vitamins dissolved in it and natural flavors. Keep hands or feet in the bath for no more than 2 minutes, then remove and allow the layer to dry, then repeat dipping. Do the baths in the room, not in the bathroom, where there is high humidity.

For a full cycle, it is enough to dip your hands 5-7 times, after which a layer of at least 1 cm is formed, then gloves made of polyethylene are put on, warm mittens, and it is advisable to wrap them with a woolen blanket on top to keep the heat longer.

Experts advise to do such procedures no more than once every seven days, and when paraffin therapy is used for medicinal purposes, the duration of the course and frequency is indicated by the attending physician.

How to choose

A unique device must be chosen based on what it will be used for, because by the type of purpose they are divided into three main categories: for arms, legs, or universal. The sizes will accordingly be different; if you want to make paraffin baths for both limbs, then you need to purchase a universal model, but keep in mind that such a dimensional device will need to be stored somewhere.

Important! When choosing a large-sized product, remember that it is designed for large volumes, for example, an ordinary hand bath holds 1.1-2.0 kg, and a universal one 2.0-4.0 kg.

Good devices have at least two modes to make the whole procedure more comfortable. The presence of temperature options is necessary, because different parts of the skin feel the same temperature in different ways: which is good for the hands, it can be very hot for the legs, because you do not go barefoot all the time, the skin on the feet is very delicate.

There are such parameters of models that must be paid special attention to:

  1. Recommended types of paraffin - this greatly reduces your possibilities, so before buying, try to choose a product without such restrictions.
  2. Thermostat - this device will constantly maintain the required paraffin temperature for a quality procedure for the required time.
  3. The melting rate, it directly depends on the power of the product. Full melting time from 40 to 90 minutes.
  4. Energy class - you need to choose economical devices, because the procedure takes a lot of time, and the product works constantly.
  5. Additional features - there are baths only for melting paraffin, but models are available where you can warm up wax and aromatic oils, so carefully read the technical passport - the instruction always reflects all the nuances of the product.
  6. Paraffin spill protection. This substance is poorly cleaned from some surfaces, so when buying, find out what the manufacturer has done in this direction, as a rule, they make a special shape on the edges of the bath.
  7. Simple cleansing. Choose with Teflon coating or aluminum bathtubs, also available with a special mesh at the bottom.
  8. Power consumption. For modern models, this parameter varies between 140-250 watts.
  9. Equipment. As additional items, brushes, gloves or socks made of polyethylene, a container with paraffin or plastic films with a thin layer of paraffin applied to remove hair from different places are inserted.

Many models are made with a modern design that allows the device to harmoniously fit into any interior.

Cosmetic paraffin is sold in 450 g containers at pharmacies or specialized cosmetics stores. If you are prone to allergic diseases, then substances with flavors or artificial colors are contraindicated for you.
