Apple announced that it is withdrawing from the sale of a batch of adapters for sockets due to marriage. Representatives of the company said that these devices shock people, and so far 6 cases are already known. These are three-pin adapters sold in Singapore, the UK and Hong Kong. A user who accidentally touches the metal parts of such a device receives a strong blow.
Adapters change for free. The company’s website published a photo of the defective device. It is emphasized that on such adapters there are no inscriptions, and the case is entirely made of white plastic. And on later devices that work correctly, a plug-in block painted in gray is visible.
This is not the first time Apple has released a marriage. A similar case occurred 3 years ago. Then defective adapters went on sale in Argentina, Australia and Brazil. They also shocked people. And last year, the company had to recall a batch of defective iPhone 8, which hung, spontaneously rebooted, and sometimes refused to turn on.
