Talk about improving the batteries has been going on for a long time. As you know, it is lithium-ion batteries that are the weak link in smartphones, tablets and all other portable electronics. A few months ago, information appeared on the network about the development of Swedish engineers, which would solve all the problems at once, but it is extremely difficult to implement it today. Huawei has proposed its own solution to the problem.

The Chinese company showed the industry's first lithium-silicon battery. According to the manufacturer, it is able to charge faster than lithium-ion counterparts, while safer. The essence of the development is the use of graphite elements that positively affect the battery life. The batteries have a nitrogen-carbon coating, which allows for ultra-fast charging due to high conductivity.

Huawei uses an unusual fast charging system: it is characterized by a relatively low voltage, but a large current value, due to which it is possible to avoid heat loss, throttling and charging efficiency in this way. Use a new type of battery is planned in future innovations of Huawei. Whether the Mate 20 Pro gets the same is a mystery.
