Microsoft has posted new documentation regarding the latest build of Windows 10 for ARM processors for OEMs. The greatest interest of the public was attracted by the limitations of the system, because the debate about the ultimatum of mobile solutions in comparison with low-voltage processors of standard architecture has not subsided for a long time.

Limitations, for the most part, are related specifically to hardware compatibility. For example, there will be support only for ARM64 drivers, so you should forget about supporting modern peripherals, as well as about X64 applications. OpenGL games will not work properly, like some cloud services applications. It also includes applications that distinguish mobile devices not by screen resolution, but by processor type. There may also be problems with emulators.

If we consider the restrictions in more detail, it becomes clear that the average user will not notice much difference in the functionality of the system, which will be obvious to gamers or programmers for whom support for a certain range of utilities is necessary. The advantage of such decisions will be the autonomy and low cost of manufacture, especially in the context of comparison with conventional laptops.
