At Tyumen State University (Tsogu), students are developing a device and a mobile application that allows you to monitor the condition of plants. This system is called CACTUS. In addition to the apparatus and the program, the system includes a seed and a QR code assigned to the plant. After planting in the ground, the plant will scan the information in the application, and then it will begin to notify the user that the ground has become too dry and needs watering, as well as send several other signals.

According to development students, the main target audience of their system is parents who want to develop a sense of responsibility in their children. The mobile application is ready now. Also developed options for its further improvement. There is also a server with a database that can now serve several users. And students are going to add some more sensors to the device. This will provide an opportunity to collect more data about plants and develop more diverse tasks and signals.
