Technological progress does not stand still, and more and more cordless vacuum cleaners with high power and wide functionality appear on the market. Such devices have compact dimensions, do not require expensive consumables and greatly simplify the cleaning process. Today I will talk about my recent acquisition - the SuperVac 734000 cordless vacuum cleaner from the British company Morphy Richards. Unlike low-power electric brushes, it is able to remove heavy garbage, clean dust from furniture and collect wool in just a few minutes.

About the manufacturer and product quality
The company Morphy Richards appeared on the Russian market relatively recently, so until the moment of buying a vacuum cleaner, I had hardly heard about it. However, in the UK this brand has existed since 1935, it occupies a leading position among suppliers of household appliances. According to statistics from last year, 9 out of 10 people in Britain have Morphy Richards products (which is 90% of users!). Such success is due to the high quality of brand products and good after-sales service.
I did not hold other Morphy Richards electrical appliances in my hands, but the SuperVac 734000 is very well built. This is evident by the absence of joints and gaps between the parts of the housing. All details are reliably fixed and adjoin to each other. At the same time, it is not difficult to disassemble the vacuum cleaner, due to the simplicity of the design. It is immediately noticeable that the manufacturer took care of the user convenience. In my old vacuum cleaner, when I took out the container, all the collected dirt often ended up on the floor. With this model, this has never happened before.
Features
For me, the most important criteria when choosing a technique remains reasonable pricing and good performance. I do not think it is right to overpay for a brand or vice versa to save by buying unknown Chinese brands. Vacuum cleaner Morphy Richards 734000 can not be called cheap, but its cost is fully justified. It has a fairly high power, long battery life and a convenient housing. What caught my attention:
High suction power
The main disadvantage of all cordless vacuum cleaners is the suction power. It is difficult to achieve good performance, while maintaining compactness and autonomy. Nevertheless, Morphy Richards managed to create a device with a maximum power of 110 watts. This is one of the best results among cordless vacuum cleaners. To check, I scattered a handful of different cereals and pasta on a long-pile carpet. The vacuum cleaner removed all the garbage in literally a minute, even without using the turbo mode.
Convenient configurations
Unlike stationary vacuum cleaners, Morphy Richards SuperVac 734000 is very compact, and has two convenient configurations for different occasions:
- Standard configuration with a long tube makes the vacuum cleaner more maneuverable and speeds up the cleaning process. With it, it’s very easy to collect dust in the corners, remove cobwebs or clean ceilings. In fact, everything is the same as with stationary models, but do not get confused in wires and carry heavy weight.
- Manual configuration without a tube allows you to clean the furniture and the interior of the car. The vacuum cleaner becomes as compact as possible, so you can collect garbage from all kinds of drawers and shelves.
The second configuration was especially pleased, since I had long dreamed of a hand-held car vacuum cleaner. It turns out, I saved on buying a separate device.
Three operating modes
The vacuum cleaner received three operating modes at once - Min, Max and Turbo. In the minimum mode, the power is enough to remove dust and light impurities. If you need to collect garbage from shelves or walk on furniture, then time (60 minutes) will be enough for the average apartment.In maximum mode, the suction power reaches 110 watts, and the duration of the operation is reduced to 20 minutes. For a battery device of such power, this is not enough. By the way, 20 minutes is the highest rate among similar devices. The Max function allows you to cope with any kind of garbage, such as the same cereals or pasta. Also in this mode, the vacuum cleaner sucks the dust out of the carpet well. Well, Turbo mode increases the rotation speed of the main brush, but the operating time is reduced to 15 minutes. This mode is well suited for wool-clogged or adhering dirt.
I never use only one mode. If you combine them with each other, it turns out much more efficient. The average cleaning of a two-room apartment takes about 20-30 minutes. And this despite the fact that one battery charge is enough for 2 times.
Stylish overhead charging dock
The vacuum cleaner is charged from a suspension base connected to a fixed network. This is convenient, because the device does not interfere underfoot, but at the same time is in easy access. Yes, and the dock looks stylish, which can not be said about the usual wired charging, like most electric brushes.
What I liked and did not like
The vacuum cleaner is very convenient and functional, but during use I noticed several obvious disadvantages. To be honest, first I write about what I liked, and then we'll talk about the shortcomings:
Liked:
- High rate of suction. I think 110 watts is a good result even for stationary devices, not to mention wireless.
- It can operate at high power for up to 20 minutes, which is several times higher than that of competitors.
- Two convenient configurations, one of which turns the vacuum cleaner into a small hand cleaner. It is very convenient if you have a car.
- Full-fledged 4-stage filtration from fine dust.
- Good quality service.
- The button to control the suction force is fixed, not clamped, as in stationary models.
- The charging base is mounted on the wall, which is very convenient, because the vacuum cleaner does not interfere and is always at hand.
Did not like:
- The dust collector is small enough - only 0.5 liters. But this makes the vacuum cleaner more compact and allows you to clean in hard to reach places.
- The increased noise level is 78 dB. The noise level can be controlled by lowering the power, but in turbo mode, cleaning still delivers discomfort. On the other hand, similar models are louder at a lower power level.
The difference between the Morphy Richards 734000 model from 734050
For a long time I chose between the Morphy Richards 734000 and 734050 models, because they have similar specifications. There are only two significant differences between vacuum cleaners:
- The SuperVac 734000 is equipped with a wall mounted charging dock that is screw-mounted on the wall. This is convenient because the device does not take up much space and looks organically in the interior. Vacuum cleaner SuperVac 734050 has a floor charging base, made in the form of a stand. It gets in the way when cleaning and takes up a lot of space.
- Model 734000 has two configurations: standard and manual. In the first case, the motor block is located on top, and the vacuum cleaner works in conjunction with a long tube. With manual configuration, the handset disconnects, making the device more compact and lighter. But the model SuperVac 734050, in addition to the manual and conventional configuration, there is also a vertical one, which helps to clean under sofas and other low furniture.
I liked the SuperVac 734000 because of its light weight and convenient docking station, but the 734050 is also a good model. If you have a lot of furniture, then it is better to opt for the second option.
Comparison with competitors
Before purchasing the Supervac Deluxe 734000, I chose between models from the Dyson V10, 8, 7, and 6 line, and also looked at other competitive devices in a 2-in-1 configuration. The main differences are in performance and final cost:

Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners are renowned for their high power, convenient handling and ergonomics. They are quite popular both in Russia and in Europe. The cost of battery devices ranges from 20 to 40 thousand rubles, depending on the strength of absorption and functionality.For example, the Dyson V10 vacuum cleaner has the most impressive technical characteristics among the presented models, its price tag reaches 39,990 rubles (Supervac Deluxe 734,000 - 19,990 rubles). It is designed for 60 minutes of operation in minimum mode and 7 minutes of operation, if you use the turbo brush function and maximum mode. Moreover, the maximum power reaches 151 watts, and the minimum - only 16 watts. In standard mode, the suction force is kept at 30 watts.
The Supervac Deluxe 734000 has a maximum suction power of 110 watts. The minimum suction power is 27 watts. Unlike Dyson, he is capable of long-term operation in turbo mode (15 minutes versus 7). Of course, the declared power of the V10 model is higher than that of the Morphy Richards 734000, but is it worth it to overpay 20 thousand?
Prices for older models V8, V7 and V6 range from 19 to 36 thousand rubles. However, in terms of technical characteristics and autonomy, the Supervac Deluxe 734000 still surpasses these vacuum cleaners. The maximum duration of V8 is 40 minutes, V7 is 30 minutes, and V6 is only 20 minutes. A Morphy Richards vacuum cleaner can run for up to an hour with much greater suction power.
Philips and LG Hand Stick vacuum cleaners
Philips and LG cordless vacuum cleaners are commonly called electric brushes. They are not able to replace a full-fledged stationary device, because have little power. I included them in the comparison due to price and size. Philips devices cost from 20 to 25 thousand rubles, depending on the model. Moreover, they are quite heavy and have a suction power of no more than 18 watts. Sticks from LG, on the contrary, are cheaper than the Supervac 734000 - their prices range from 15 to 18 thousand. Maximum power can reach 25 watts. Given the suction power and overall functionality of the Supervac 734000, I see no reason to make a comparison. It is much more profitable to buy a universal device from Morphy Richards for the same price than to suffer later with a low-power electric brush.
findings
The Supervac Deluxe 73400 is very lightweight, ergonomic and functional. It has the highest power in minimum mode among similar devices and the longest operating time in maximum power mode. Such a vacuum cleaner is perfect for car owners, thanks to the presence of a manual configuration. If you, like me, are tired of tangled wires and heavy blocks, the Morphy Richards Supervac 734000 is a great replacement for a stationary vacuum cleaner.
