The announcement of the new MacBook Air, Mac Mini and iPad Pro, held yesterday in Brooklyn, was supplemented by their announcement on the official Apple website, as before. In addition to information about devices that have already been released, they contain data regarding the current MacBook Pro line.

Now, the Pro versions of apple laptops are equipped with Radeon Pro 555X or Pro 560X video adapters. These are no longer top-end graphics cards, so soon they will be available for Radeon Vega 16 or Vega 20, depending on the configuration. Both cards will receive 4 gigabytes of HBM2 type video memory.

According to the principles of model naming for AMD APUs, the younger Vega 16 can get up to 1024 stream processors, while in Vega 20 their number will be 1280. The performance of such cores has proved to be good on some Intel Kaby Lake G processors. How good the Vega and MacBook Pro experience will be - time will tell.
