According to insider information, the chief engineer who developed the central processors of Apple A, quit the company. The name is Officer Gerard Williams III. He worked for nine years at the company. All this time he designed processors made on a single chip. This line includes devices from Apple A7 to Apple A12X inclusive. And Williams is the author of 60 different inventions for which relevant patents are issued.

At the moment, nothing is known about the reasons that prompted the chief engineer to quit. Some media outlets have already suggested that the loss of such a large specialist will inflict a severe blow to the company, since Apple plans to transfer most of its computers to single-chip processors of its own production next year. It is expected that they will be more productive and energy efficient compared to competitor devices.
