Oleg Ponfilenok, who is the head of the Copter Express company, said that in the next 5 years drones for mail deliveries will appear in Russia. According to him, already today some foreign corporations are actively testing the delivery of parcels by air.
Oleg Ponfilenok also noted that one important issue has not yet been resolved regarding the direct option of air delivery. We are talking about the transfer of goods to the post office or a special site, or the descent of the parcel to customers using a cable. Other options are being explored. At the same time, Ponfilenok considers the drone an airborne vehicle of increased danger. Therefore, the recipient of the package still should not contact the drone directly. It is noteworthy that Russian Post also plans to deliver mail using modern drones.
