The new scanner will have a truly "supersonic" speed. Apple wants to ensure that the fingerprint analysis time does not exceed 250 ms. But this speed should not affect the reliability of the sensor. And this is the second task that experts from Cupertino are now solving. And they also want to make it impossible for new smartphones to be unlocked using a cast of a human hand printed on a 3D printer.
Joint work on the scanner was launched on April 1, so development is at an early stage. The reason is the litigation between the companies. But analysts believe that in the 12th generation iPhone, new scanners will already appear.
