Fans of Valve products can rejoice: the company introduced the Index helmet for games in virtual reality. The start of sales of the device is scheduled for June 28. The Index helmet is equipped with game controllers and a motion tracking system. It is equipped with two displays, resolution - 1440 by 1600 pixels. They can work with frequencies of 120, 90, 80 and 144 Hz.

There are 2 speakers in the helmet, and they do not fit snugly to the user's ears. According to the manufacturer, just such a technical solution allows you to provide the most realistic sound in games. Each controller has 3 buttons and 87 sensors. Such a system allows the user to perform throwing and picking gestures. The ability to bend your fingers, both all at once and separately, is also supported. The helmet comes with 2 tracking stations with viewing angles of 115 to 160 degrees. They can track micro movements with an amplitude of less than a millimeter. The helmet is powered from the network, so you can not do without a wire. The cost of a full set of Index is 1078 euros, i.e. approximately 80,000 rubles.
