Design and display
The raiser is known for its unique design solutions, the smartphone was no exception. The device looks really impressive. On the front is a large screen with wide frames, however, and with an outdated format. But this framework is not useless - they have powerful stereo speakers with a separate amplifier for each. Also, the smartphone will receive an external 24-bit DAC with support for Dolby Atmos technology. The maximum sound volume of the device is over 100 dB.

At the back, this is a rude but solid gadget. No rounding or anything else — a solid square brick, this is how Raiser Von can be described. The glass lid, due to this, realized a luminous company logo. There is also support for wireless charging. The camera in the center is dual. No frills, the design is concise, sharp, but from this and interesting.
Perhaps the main feature of the Razer Phone 2 is a high-quality screen made using IGZO technology with a frame refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. This means that the picture will be smoother due to the large number of frames. This is especially noticeable in games that can produce 120 FPS. The usual screen resolution is 1440 x 2560 pixels with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass.
On the back cover is the Razer Chroma brand logo with an interesting highlight from a range of 16.8 million colors and one of three options for transfusion effects - Static, Breath and Spectrum.

Features and Performance
The Razer Phone 2 is equipped with the most advanced features for 2019. This gadget is perfect for games, but it can handle other functions as well. The “heart” of the smartphone is the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with a clock frequency of up to 2.8 GHz and the Adreno 630 graphics accelerator. RAM is as much as 8 GB, with a constant memory of 64 GB for the youngest package bundle or 128 GB for the older one. There is a slot for a memory card up to 1 TB. In Antutu, the smartphone scored an impressive 283,397 points. For games - that’s it!

But all these characteristics are also in other, not even gaming, flagships, so why then need a Reiser? First of all, the smartphone is more suitable for gamers due to the high-quality screen and sound, as well as the cooling system. The device has a good cooling system that avoids processor throttling.
The casing of the device is protected from water and dust according to the IP67 standard - in addition to resistance to splashes and rain, it is able to maintain performance by lying in water for up to 30 minutes to a depth of one meter. The charging connector is a USB Type-C, there is no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The smartphone is large and heavy compared to others, its dimensions: 158.5 × 78.99 × 8.5 mm, weight 220 g. This is justified by the fact that it has a 4000 mAh battery, large speakers and a cooling system. There is support for fast charging according to the Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0+ standard.
Camera
The camera is not a strong point of a smartphone. The first camera is wide-angle, 12 MP with an aperture of f / 1.75 and an optical image stabilization system. The second camera is 12 MP with an aperture of f / 2.6. 8 MP front camera, f / 2.0. Suitable for simple videos and photos, for online communication and more. But as a flagship photo, this smartphone lags behind the competition.

Sound
Razer Phone had stereo speakers, but their quality wanted to leave the best. In the second version, the smartphone fixed everything! Now it is really high-quality, three-dimensional sound with high volume and powerful amplifiers. Thanks to the sound, the phone can be used as a pocket TV.In games, due to the stereo sound, it will be very convenient to play, but in order to really appreciate the sound, you need not to close the speakers with your hand, and during the game this is completely inconvenient. The speakers are located over the entire area of the upper and lower frames, so that completely block the sound with your hands will not work.
Price
The minimum configuration of the smartphone will cost the buyer $ 800. For this money they give 64 GB of permanent memory and a black mirrored rear panel. For 120 GB of internal storage and a glossy matte surface you will have to pay $ 100 more. Optional accessories: a gamepad costs $ 149, headphones $ 99.

findings
The smartphone turned out to be not bad, but is it worth taking it against the background of other competitors with similar characteristics? If you are an avid gamer, sit in games for a long time and are ready to pay for high-quality graphics, sound and the absence of overheating for an hour and a half of work - then yes. But in other cases it’s not worth overpaying.
Chinese smartphones are cheaper, look smaller, have a better camera and can give you enjoy the game almost as well as Razer. The 120 FPS screen is visible only in some games, but there is no sense except for visual admiration, and such a screen requires more smartphone resources, it heats up and consumes more battery power. The cooling system makes little sense, and it is not unique, about half of all smartphones have the same cooling.
